I've been a life coach and mentor for over 20 years, specializing in well-being, resilience, post-traumatic growth, and positive psychology. My passion for animals has been a part of me since childhood. I deeply understand the challenges and hardships faced by those involved in the care and rescue of animals. Pandora's Hope is the result of combining my passion for helping people and animals in need. I founded the organization to support the unsung heroes of animal rescue. Our aim it to provide resources, support, and advocacy to those in the animal care and rescue world. I believe in collaboration, sharing knowledge, and pooling resources Pandora's Hope offers crucial support to those dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to save animals.
Lian Allweis - Founder and Executive Director
I specialize in burnout and well-being, promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals of good health and well-being. My journey towards advocating these goals was influenced by my deep passion for animals and awareness of the daily challenges endured by the animal care and rescue community. Their unwavering dedication amidst daunting circumstances served as a catalyst for my involvement with Pandora's Hope. I am thrilled to assume the role of a board member, looking forward to contributing my skills and knowledge to ultimately striving for a better, more supportive environment for everyone involved in this noble cause.
Cara de Lange - Board Member
As a Hospice Nurse, hospice palliative Practitioner, and former midwife, I have welcomed hundreds of lives into the world and provided unwavering support to families during their most transformative moments. Pandora's Hope taps into my experience in offering bereavement counseling and guiding grief support groups. I can recognize the hardship and similarities of my work with the animal care rescue world.
My love for animals sees the much-needed necessity and potential of an organization like Pandora's Hope. I am excited to bring my unique blend of healthcare expertise, a passion for fostering whole-person well-being, and insights from years of experience to Pandora's Hope.
